Cook up a Feast
At the heart of the lodge is our wood burning stove: it will keep the lodge warm in all weathers, and provide a means of cooking, either on top, as you would on a hob, or in its spacious oven compartment. There is even a slot for warming your plates! We also provide a small gas ring so you can enjoy a cup of coffee, tea, or hot chocolate (all included within the lodge) without having to fire up the stove.
Even a Kitchen Sink!
The kitchen is fully equipped with cooking utensils, pots, pans, crockery, cutlery and glassware, kitchen roll, cling film, foil, bin bags, washing up essentials, tea towels, hand towel, as well as fresh herbs and essential condiments. It even has its own mains supplied sink! There is also a small cool box with ice bricks that you can replenish from our freezer at any time, plus a shelf in the Larder fridge, should you require it.
Dine by Candlelight
Enjoy a candlelit dinner as a family. Swap stories and share discoveries from the day. You may find your monosyllabic teenager is quite lovely away from his iPhone!
Everything Included
From firewood to fizz, coffee to conditioner, lemons to loo paper: we have tried to think of everything to make your stay as comfortable as possible. You should only have to bring clothes and a toothbrush. But even if you forget that you will find some for sale in the Larder shop.
