Bring both dogs!
After all they are part of the family! If you need supplies there is an excellent pet shop in Combe Martin and Argyll Vets is just 15 minutes away in Ilfracombe if any medical treatment is needed. We will provide dog bowls, a bed and towels and we are looking to stock a range of dog treats and toys in our Larder shop very soon!
Plenty of dog friendly beaches including most of Woolacombe Beach so plenty of space to race for the ball or leap for the frisbee! Shops & pubs throughout the area, and particularly on Exmoor, are very happy to welcome dogs inside, some almost give their four legged guests more attention than their two: visit Charlie Fridays in Lynton for the ultimate dog friendly cafe! There are miles of wonderful walk and plenty of opportunities to get wet & muddy and met new friends. And there are many gardens and National Trust properties happy to have dogs in the grounds so bring them with you on your adventures! See our Dog Friendly page for more suggestions and information.
Our gated decked area should keep all but the smallest or spriteliest dogs contained. But if in doubt the ladder side under the cabin bed makes an excellent additional containment field! Please do not leave dogs unattended. They always let us know when they are!
Under each lodge is a bin for bagged dog poo and a hose should they find something delightful to roll in! Our natural aromatherapy shampoo works equally as well on dogs!
We ask that you keep dogs on leads at all times around the lodges, Larder shop and lake areas as we have cats, chickens and ducks and sometimes sheep! They can be let off lead in our woodland area behind Lynmouth.
Within our Adventure book we provide details on which pubs and beaches are dog friendly. Trudie Norman, one of the Longlands team, offers a dog sitting service if you need to leave your dog for a few hours or half day. Call her on 07792 536493. If you wish to leave your dog for a longer period call Shirley from Dog Walking-Sitting on 07765 154549 or 01271 812340.
