Body Massage: 1 Hour
Relax and feel truly nurtured with this wonderful full body treatment which increases both circulation and lymphatic flow. Ease muscular tension and release tight tissues whilst improving skin and muscle tone, and eliminating toxins. This treatment can also target more specific problems using deeper and more vigorous techniques.
Sports Injury & Remedial Massage: 1 Hour
Sports Injury/Remedial Massage is a very effective injury rehabilitation technique. The treatment can be used for a wide range of sports and non-sports related injuries. Using special techniques, the therapist treats the cause of the problem as opposed to the symptoms, thereby speeding up the healing process and preventing re-injury as well as relieving pain. It is unusual to find someone who does not have an issue somewhere in their body, that can be treated by seeing a sports injury therapist.
Deep Tissue Massage: 1 Hour
A deep, rich massage combining a variety of techniques specifically chosen to meet your individual needs at the time of treatment. This is a remedial massage and usually focuses on one area of the body e.g. the back, neck and shoulders or the legs. Gentle, nurturing moves are provided alongside deeper techniques to reduce pain and release deep muscular tension. Attention is paid to trigger points and neuromuscular pressures applied where needed. This treatment is particularly good for addressing specific problem areas.
Reflexology: 1 Hour
Reflexology is a deeply relaxing and harmonising foot treatment. It is based on the principle that there are energy zones that run throughout the body and reflex points on the feet that correspond with all the major organs, glands and body parts. Therefore, the application of pressure techniques and relaxation movements on specific areas of the feet results in a reflex action elsewhere in the body.
Reflexology is a very powerful treatment and is considered to be particularly good at re-balancing the body’s systems – a great way to relieve stress-related symptoms, ease pain, improve sleep and maintain good health and general well-being.
Indian Head Massage: 1 Hour
Most Indian Head Massages last for thirty minutes. Louise has created a deeply nurturing hour long treatment. This is a soothing and revitalising treatment concentrating on the head, face, ears, neck, shoulders, upper arms and upper back. The treatment increases blood flow to the head, neck and shoulders, nourishing the tissues and encouraging healing. It relieves aches and pains, tension and fatigue.
An ideal treatment for stress, anxiety and symptoms related to muscular tension including headaches. It often encourages better sleep, provides relief from mental fatigue and promotes clearer thinking. People often feel uplifted and revitalised after treatment.
Thai Foot Massage: 1 Hour
This treatment consists of deeply relaxing massage techniques combined with some more stimulating moves on the feet and lower legs. The therapist uses her hands and a Thai foot stick. Circulation is improved, muscular tension relieved and flexibility improved. Part of the treatment incorporates the stimulation of reflex points on the feet similar to reflexology. The aim of the treatment is to balance the body and encourage good health.
Reiki: 1 Hour
Reiki is a very gentle, non-invasive form of energy healing, that aims to rebalance the body and kick start the natural healing process. It works on a physical, mental, emotional and spiritual level. It involves the practitioner gently placing their hands on or above various points on the body. The treatment often generates a sense of deep calm and the affects can be profound.
Reiki can benefit people suffering from both minor ailments and more serious conditions. Its non-invasive nature makes it particularly beneficial for people whose condition makes it difficult for them to receive physical contact.
Holistic Face Massage: 1 Hour
This is a deeply relaxing and nurturing treatment that includes a massage for the décolleté, neck shoulders, ears and scalp, in addition to the face. This area of the body has a large number of muscles that can get tight and hold onto stress. Tension can eventually cause lines and furrows so releasing tight muscles here can help you to remain looking younger!
A series of both lifting and relaxing techniques are used to release muscular tension, improve muscle tone and stimulate nerve endings. Toxins are eliminated by stimulating the many lymph nodes that are scattered throughout this area of the body.
