Escape from the world and relax at Longlands this Autumn.
The sea it at its warmest. The surf is just perfect. The beaches are quiet. Exmoor is stunning & the leaves are turning fiery colours. Its a perfect time of year for an autumn glamping adventure!
Enjoy an Adventure
Autumn is the best time of year to enjoy the 16 beaches that we have on our doorstep, including the “Best Beach in Britain” for the past 2 years: Woolacombe. Or take a hack or walk over Exmoor and admire the stunning colours of Autumn. Try something new: coasteering, kayaking perhaps rock climbing or abseiling? Create memories to cherish long after you return home. There are so many places to go and so many things to do that we have filled a whole book with them: The Longlands Large book of Adventures!
Take a Dip in the Hot Tub
Watch the sunset over the lake and onto the sea whilst immersed in the warm water of our cedar wood hot tub. Positioned on its own deck above the lake, it has views out across the valley and towards the sea and setting sun. With a changing room, outdoor shower, towels, fruited iced water, acrylic glasses and Mary’s Shed natural aromatherapy products: everything is provided.
It really is the ultimate in relaxation. Book ahead of your stay by email, or leave it until you are here. It is definitely worth booking ahead if you would like the Sunset Hour or the Starlight Hour. For more information about our Hot Tub visit our Hot Tub page.
Gaze at Sunsets & Star filled Skies
Sit back, put your feet up and pour a glass of wine. Watch the sun set on the sea or the stars twinkling in the night sky, or the weather racing up the valley. The large deck area at the front of the lodge has a sofa, table and chairs so you can relax whilst enjoying the amazing views over the lake and valley, down to the sea in the day, and the star filled sky at night. In fact the lodges look out onto one of the few Dark Sky Reserves in the world.
Glowing in warmth and light!
Curl up in front of the stove with a book or enjoy a game of Scrabble. Our new LED lights will ensure you have plenty of light to see even on the darkest evening! We have overhead lights and a reading lamp right beside the sofa.Book your Autumn Adventure at Longlands now! The wood burning stove will ensure you are toastie warm in your lodge regardless of the weather outside. Use the oven compartment to heat up lasagnes or cottage pies from our Larder Menu, or cook on the top as you would on a hob.
Wash away the cares of the day.
The shower cabins and wash room also have lights. Pamper yourself with some natural aromatherapy. Step out into a heated room! Each lodge has its own en-suite shower room and separate en-suite wash room, with flushing loo and basin. Hot water for the shower, sink and basin is provided by a wood burning boiler, that also ensures the shower room is warm as toast! We provide all the bath linen you should need, plus a gorgeous range of natural aromatherapy bathroom products, including shampoo, conditioner, shower gel and body lotion!
Enjoy the feel of luxurious White Company Egyptian Cotton. Warm your toes on a hot water bottle. All our beds are made up with luxurious bed linen, and a 4.5+9 tog duvet, so you can decide how warm or cool you want your bed to be! Even our single beds have double sized duvets to ensure warmth for children and adults alike. We also provide hot water bottles & blankets, should you need them.
Everything considered and nothing overlooked
From the wood burning stove that will keep the lodge warm in all weathers, and provides a means of cooking, to the small gas ring so that you can enjoy a cup of coffee, tea, or hot chocolate (all included within the lodge) quickly in the morning, through to the blanket box of games and the vintage chesterfield sofa that is perfect for curling up on with a book in front of the fire. We have tried to think of everything that you might need to make your stay as comfortable as possible so all you have to bring are your clothes!
During October the trees begin to turn & take on the fiery colours of Autumn. The beech trees in our woods look particularly stunning in their copper finery, whilst inside our lodges are equally aglow.
